‘The Earth is our refuge, let’s help protect and care for it. The future of many generations depends on it. It is a phrase of Luis A. Troche Márquez, a geographer from La Paz, Bolivia and that comes like a ring to our finger to, on a date like today, reflect and try to think about what each one of us can do to protect Mother Earth.
The slogan this year is ‘Invest in our planet’. Thus, the United Nations is trying to involve everyone (governments, companies and citizens) in the work of caring for and protecting the environment.
One single objective: that future generations can enjoy a green planet.
This requires collective involvement and effort and experts point out that this point will only be reached if respectful policies and environmental practices in tune with our planet are followed.
