Snowshoers’ day 2025

Snowshoeing, another way to enjoy nature in winter

Have you ever tried snowshoeing in the snow? Well, do it because you will discover that walking in the snow is much more comfortable than doing it with just your boots. You can go on long or short hikes and, with care and planning, it is something that people of all ages and abilities can do, as long as they have a minimum level of fitness and are prepared for walking in mountain terrain.

And if you want to give it a try, this is the week because the Aragonese Mountain Federation celebrates the 8th edition of the Snowshoe hiker Day from the 3rd to the 9th of February.

Snowshoeing is an outdoor activity that involves walking in the snow with snowshoes specially designed to provide traction and flotation in the snow. It is a popular way to explore and enjoy the beauty of nature in winter and can be practised by people of all ages and abilities.

Share on Facebook and Instagram your photos with snowshoes and a comment of the activity you have done, use the hashtag #DIADELRAQUETISTA2025 and tag FAM. Among all the people who share photos, and have a FAM 2025 licence, 1 ALTUS backpack and 6 BUFF caps, both with the FAM logo, will be raffled.

Remember that, as with any activity that takes place in the mountains, you should inform yourself before setting off about the conditions of the terrain, the snow and the weather, be properly equipped, carry a map and compass and be familiar with the orientation signs and emergency routes… and if you don’t have the right knowledge, we recommend that you do this activity with a guide… and you can dedicate yourself to enjoying a safe and exciting experience.
